CASPERLABS, AG, is building the next big thing in blockchain technology, Casper - A blockchain platform for builders, that is purpose-built to scale opportunity for everyone, forever. Casper can accommodate private, public, and hybrid network solutions, ensuring an optimized set of solutions for businesses, institutions, and individual application teams. Casper is powered by the Highway Protocol, a “correct-by-construction” specification that ensures security, functionality, and liveness through PoS. Casper is currently in its final incentivized testnet phase and will launch mainnet in March 2021.

CasperLabs is building a Pro-Services team to facilitate the adoption of Casper blockchain within enterprises by building real-world applications for them. The Pro-Services team is responsible for working with CasperLabs many enterprise clients to solve their real-world business challenges by designing and implementing solutions leveraging Casper blockchain technology and integrating with other enterprise applications to provide a comprehensive solution.

We are looking for a talented Crypto Economist to join the CasperLabs Pro-Services team. In this position, you will assist in the growth of the adoption of Casper's leading blockchain technology across Enterprise Partnerships, DeFi, Capital Markets, and Exchanges by designing unique token-economic solutions. You will work directly with global enterprises, partners, and exchanges on projects looking to adopt, partner with, or build on the Casper Network.

Responsibilities:

• Design token-economics for using Casper blockchain (private, public, or hybrid) solutions for enterprise clients to solve real-world business challenges.
• Communicate clearly with clients to understand the business challenge and to explain the token-economic design solution.
• Work closely with other teams, including product, engineering, and marketing, to identify and answer economics-related questions.
• Communicate findings clearly and concisely to leadership and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate on writing and publishing blogs and research articles on the unique solutions, applications designed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or Masters in economics, finance, or mathematics with exposure to game theory;
• Familiarity with crypto-economic infrastructure such as exchanges, wallets;
• Ability to design token-economic models across diverse domains balancing security and opportunity for real-world enterprise applications;
• Ability to communicate complex concepts in a simplified manner to people from non-economic backgrounds;
• Experience in incubating primary & secondary markets is a plus.
• Experience with the development, deployment, and operation of smart contracts a plus.
