We are looking for a Director to lead Intellum’s Education and Enablement team. The team is responsible for building industry and product knowledge and skill for all Intellum stakeholders, including prospects, clients, and employees. Working under the Vice President of Education Strategy, the Director will be responsible for managing the growing team of learning experience designers, field enablement managers, and technical writers, providing strategic direction toward goal setting and measurement. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as an individual contributor in an L&D, training, or education role and experience managing a team of such professionals. This is an ideal position for someone eager to work with a group of dedicated professionals driving large-scale education initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Leads the direction of Intellum’s Education and Enablement team by aligning team goals with the company vision
  • Manages and grows the team of learning experience designers, writers, and field enablement managers
  • Provides coaching, mentoring, and development for team members
  • Collaborates with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to align on objectives and process improvements
  • Provides clear and consistent bidirectional feedback, and communicates progress and roadblocks
  • Continually develops and makes improvements to their approach through feedback-gathering, cross-team collaboration, and experimentation
  • Stays abreast of developments, trends, and tools in the areas of learning and instructional design by using the full Boost Budget and attending conferences
  • Executes multiple projects within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

Requirements

Required Skills/Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, Master’s preferred
  • 8+ years of professional experience in education, training, or L&D
  • 5+ years’ of experience managing a team of learning professionals
  • Experience in adult education principles, learning technology, and program management skills together in the design, development and maintenance of education and enablement programs
  • Management skills including strategic planning, talent development, budgeting, process focus, and risk management
  • Leadership skills including coaching, mentoring, active listening, clear communication, empathy, and ability to motivate
  • Results focused with a strong bias toward problem solving, thoughtful action, repeatable and scalable processes
  • Demonstration of excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, communicating effectively with customers, executives, leaders, program/initiative owners, stakeholders, and other audiences
  • Data driven with strong business and strategic acumen


Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Occasional irregular work hours
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, etc.
  • Extended time viewing a computer monitor
  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
