Implementation Specialist

Digital Surgery is a data-driven company implementing cutting-edge AI technology, computer vision, and augmented reality to the operating room (OR) and surgical training. Our goal is to deliver safer surgery around the world. Our Touch Surgery Enterprise solution is an innovative video management and data analytics platform for hospitals that includes the DS1, our first OR device, allowing surgeons, OR team members, and trainees to securely access videos of their procedures shortly after surgery. The device uses advanced AI algorithms that enable automatic processing and uploading of videos. Our surgical training platform is the award-winning Touch Surgery application that provides safe and accessible training for surgeons and other health care professionals.

As we expand our Touch Surgery Enterprise solution in the EMEA region, this is an exciting opportunity to join the company. As part of our Implementation team in EMEA, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of hospital projects, working alongside multiple stakeholders including surgeons, operating room staff and administrators at leading hospitals to drive product adoption, support its use in the operating room, conduct clinical staff training and provide feedback to our commercial, product and marketing teams.

Note, this is a remote position preferably based out of Central Europe with occasional travel to our London HQ office and frequent travel to customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Project manage multiple concurrent full-cycle implementations of Touch Surgery Enterprise at major hospital systems across the EMEA region, ensuring projects are executed on-time and within budget.
• Lead Kickoff and Training Presentations for clinical audiences that include live demonstrations of the Touch Surgery Enterprise platform.
• Engage with clinical and administrative stakeholders to ensure polished communication and collaboration throughout each deployment project including Surgeons, Surgical Trainees, Nurses, OR Managers, Hospital IT, Surgical Technology Reps and Biomedical Engineering.
• Test equipment and connectivity of our hardware solutions in live operating rooms prior to deployment, working in collaboration with our technical support team
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Touch Surgery Enterprise platform and how it interacts with surgical workflows in the OR.
• Ensure a smooth hand-off from Implementation to the Support team, ensuring long term success for our clients and continuity of experience.
• Gather data as well as user feedback to measure our product’s effectiveness and performance, ensuring client feedback is incorporated into future product development.
• Become our product & solutions expert and represent Digital Surgery as an ambassador of our products

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required with a focus in healthcare, healthcare technology, or a similarly related field.
• Essential: real world experience in the operating room/cath labs from either a clinical, technology, software or medical device perspective and strong command of English and fluency in German or French
• Strong project management skills are prioritized, and experience with clinical IT healthcare or healthcare management consulting is preferred.
• Demonstrate competence in customer and peer training, specifically related to advanced technology within a clinical environment.
• Some technical proficiency required to understand our products and conduct required testing with integrated surgical video systems.
• Ability to travel 25-75% of the time, as needed, to customer sites (respecting local travel restrictions).
• Ability to work remotely and productively for an international company spanning multiple time zones across Europe and the US.
• Proven success of implementing digital solutions into the Operating Room a plus.
