Organizational Change Management Lead

  • Utilligent
  • Full time
  • United States
  • 04/09/2021

Utilligent is a management/operational consulting firm focused solely on the utilities industry. Formed by a veteran team of utility executives and consultants who had developed mutual respect and trust through decades of professional collaboration, Utilligent has grown to include likeminded experts, each chosen for their individual knowledge and skill set as well as their alignment with a straightforward, results-oriented culture.

Dedicated to helping our clients complete high-impact, high-visibility — and frequently high-risk — operational initiatives on time and on budget, we assure the anticipated operational benefits are achieved. We’ve been directly responsible for two of the largest AMI implementations in North America (10 million meters), and led the largest pipeline integrity project in the U.S., along with many other successful projects. Our clients include some of the largest public and municipally-owned utilities across the globe.

Our expertise is both broad and deep. With extensive experience in gas, water and electric, we’ve delineated four tightly integrated practice domains — Customer Engagement, Utility Operations, Technology and the Digital Utility, and GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance). Spanning these areas of focus are the service offerings - Business Strategy & Transformation, Data & Analytics, and Program Execution. These have been developed to address the multifaceted needs of our clients.

We are thinkers, implementers, and fixers. We provide integrated services and engage with our clients based on their real-time needs – whether that be providing a strategist to help with a new goal, sourcing project managers to implement an existing plan or deploying highly skilled team members to quickly fix a problem.

We look at the needs of our clients comprehensively, identifying existing capabilities as well as blind spots and risk points. Our approach is to align the skills that our clients have with the additional talent needed to get the job done. Getting it right up front means our budget estimates are accurate and our mutual expectations are clear.

Our team is comprised of carefully selected industry talent. It includes the very best operational and technical minds, drawing strength from diverse background as former utilities executives and entrepreneurial career consultants.

The foundation of our company is built on the following values:

  • Partner closely with our clients fostering a deep understanding of the utility culture and environment.
  • Work hard to earn and keep trust.
  • Execute rather than just advise: Having assembled an ‘A Team’ with local and global experience enables us to be the thinkers, doers and fixers needed. Our ability to make strategy an operational reality is a point of pride.
  • Accountable for results: Our tried-and-tested business, technical architecture and program management frameworks are the tools not just to do the work but to get the job done.
  • Business driven and IT savvy: We are always looking to maximize the opportunities and bring our entrepreneurial sensibilities to every assignment.
  • Align our success with our clients: Efforts are vectors; they are only fully additive when both sides drive in the same direction.
  • Value and build relationships: Our business was formed on a foundation of long-term relationships, and we continue to build on that base of mutual trust and respect with our clients, vendors, partners, and advisors.
  • Share all that we’ve learned: Knowledge transfer is important to us. We help build "Utilligence" in organizations and share proven methodologies, tools and accelerators.
  • Deeply invested in the industry: Taking the time to round out our deep experience with utility industry and technology insight through ongoing research and emerging trends keeps us — and our clients — at the leading edge.
