Part-Time Education Consultant

Branching Minds, a leading developer and vendor of software solutions for preK-12 schools, is looking for dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced self-starters who share our passion for improving the learning experience for all students and teachers across the nation.

Independent Consultants in the Midwest area will be responsible for working with various levels of educators to build best practices in MTSS. Our Consultant will coach teams to create student support protocols, intervention plans, differentiated instruction for daily lessons, and in the effective use of technology to support their work. Each new Consultant will participate in Branching Minds’ certification process before becoming eligible to support her/ his first school. Consultants are expected to travel to the customer sites and to use webinar technology to deliver services.

Requirements

• Master of Education, minimal expectation
• 5 + years elementary and/or secondary school classroom teaching experience
• 3+ School or district level administrative/leadership experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with adult learners, both onsite and virtually
• Strong virtual facilitation skills
• Mastery level knowledge in creating and sustaining a strong Multi - Tiered System of Support culture, as well as high level knowledge of literacy, math and formative assessment practices
• Ability to model effective instruction for whole and small groups
• Effective in leading teacher group data driven problem - solving meetings and developing action plans
• Passion for education and ongoing personal learning
• Comfort with technology and troubleshooting technical issues
• Experience with instructional technology and operating systems
