Quality Control & Release Manager

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Quality Control & Release Manager who is passionate about software quality and release processes. You will be working with the engineering team, program management, and site reliability teams to prepare and coordinate a planned release to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Project Management to track changes in upcoming releases.
• Develop test plans, and ensure that changes have test coverage.
• Work across Engineering and project teams to ensure that features are tested.
• Write customer facing release notes and technical release change logs.
• Ensure that planned features are tested by the engineering team
• Work with product & program management to ensure that planned releases have adequate testing time allocated.
• Ensure that defects are triaged quickly, and customers receive progress updates.
• Identify and escalate risks to completion of the testing program for a given release.
• Schedule the release readiness reviews before deployment and milestone reviews after each release.
• Plan and give weekly updates on the release activities

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or an equivalent degree
• Prior experience as a quality assurance manager, or release manager in a SaaS or production software environment is required.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CD/CI) pipelines
• Experience in working with DevOps and Agile methodologies
• Expertise working with Linux servers.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
