Heights is looking for an experienced React Engineer to join their product team. This role will work alongside their Head of Engineering to support and expand their current tech stack - a headless eCommerce frontend using Gatsby, Shopify and Contentful.
They're working on a number of exciting projects currently on the roadmap:
The team is constantly trying new ways to improve the user experience, so they are constantly building new components that can be used throughout the site, and often run multiple A/B tests at the same time.
They are looking for a React Engineer that relishes the opportunities and responsibilities that come with working in a seed stage business. It can be intense, sometimes chaotic, and you have to be comfortable finding 80/20 solutions, but the collaboration and opportunities to make a transformational impact on the business are extremely rewarding.
Heights have built their website in a way that fully enables non-engineers to create awesome landing pages using fully reusable components, and cloud services like Gatsby Cloud to enable live previews for the editors. They use the following tools like Storybook to help build and validate new components.
You should have demonstrable experience working with React, Gatsby and a headless CMS such as Contentful. They also use TypeScript, and a CSS-in-JS library called Theme UI, so experience in those is a plus. Experience working with e-commerce platforms like Shopify is also plus!
