Title Examiner - Remote

The role of the Title Examiner is to review and analyze Public Records to determine ownership and encumbrances on a property and write a report based on those findings. This position requires strong attention to detail, real estate title knowledge, and excellent time management and communication skills.

When will I work?

This is a full-time remote position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m Eastern Time. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

What will I do?

• Search and examine public records, such as deeds, mortgages, liens, probate records, etc.
• Determine how these documents affect the title.
• Assist other members of Search Department as needed.
• Produce an accurate title report.
• Review colleague’s work.
• Work within multiple Title Production platforms.
  

Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of Real Estate title experience, required
• Experience working with County websites and various title platforms, such as Title Point.
• Strong understanding of legal terminology/the general title process and the effects of related documentation.
• Excellent research and analytical skills.
• High School Diploma or GED, required
• Bachelor’s degree a plus
• Dependable High-Speed Internet and a distraction-free work area.
• Computer with Windows 10 Operating System & at least 8GB RAM & Firewall Protection.
• Two monitors (or laptop and an additional monitor).
• Basic computer peripherals (mouse, keyboard, headset with mic & webcam).
