Vice President (VP) of Marketing

The VP of Marketing will be responsible for driving customer awareness, education, growth, and retention across the US and Europe initially through demand generation, brand, product, and customer marketing. We’re looking for an experienced revenue-driven marketing leader, with B2B SaaS experience, who will be a key member of the senior management team.

We are currently selling to Series A and B tech companies, and we will be moving upstream over time to larger Series C to E companies, eventually breaking into the enterprise in 2022. We are also looking to open up single-user access for individual contributors and leaders, create a B2C offering and a Product Led Growth motion. It would be a plus if you have experience in B2C / PLG.

Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for the overall marketing strategy and tactics with autonomy to build out the marketing infrastructure and the team as you see fit. Requirements

  • Lead all elements of the company’s B2B and B2C marketing initiatives–including target audience, overall messaging, demand generation, content marketing, product marketing, customer marketing, corporate communications, and brand
  • Drive the creation of integrated marketing campaigns to exceed pipeline and revenue targets, delivering the volume and quality of pipeline needed to achieve new ARR and NDR objectives
  • Build creative strategic marketing programs that build brand awareness, nurture leads, and progress pipeline to revenue
  • Partner with other key leadership stakeholders to forecast and set targets for the marketing function.
  • Measure, analyze, optimize and report on the impact of demand creation activities on sales pipeline, revenue and sales cycle length. More specifically, partner with Sales and CS Leadership to ensure marketing priorities and programs are closely aligned with Sales and CS initiatives–and includes co-creation of joint Sales / Marketing and Sales / CS campaigns
  • Collaborate with existing marketing team members on effective content marketing strategies that address all stages of the buyers’ journey. Develop buyer personas, and segmentation details/definitions necessary for a product campaign, content strategy, and roadmap
  • Assist in analyzing product and markets in terms of the ability to compete, gain market share and grow revenue
  • Develop, lead and inspire a best-in-class marketing team by hiring and developing talent, while effectively scaling the team for growth
  • Build and manage best-in-class freelance and supplier network across PR, design, copywriting and any other third party support needed
  • Manage marketing budget and marketing related KPIs across reputation, demand, customers, and brand

A bit about you

  • Demonstrated success leading and scaling a marketing team in a high-growth, B2B SaaS business
  • Experience in B2C marketing and ideally working with both a B2B and B2C go-to-market motion in parallel would be a plus
  • Demonstrated success in working with sales to optimize the whole funnel and CS to help improve retention
  • A data-driven marketer, with demonstrated analytical ability and orientation for detail
  • Track record of building and executing integrated campaigns across all stages of the buyers’ journey
  • Must be comfortable with a balance of day-to-day execution and high-level strategy
  • Knowledge in developing and implementing account-based marketing strategies and programs, in partnership with Sales
  • Successful track record in creating and implementing content marketing strategies that achieve business outcomes
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing company messaging and product positioning that resonates with buyer needs
  • Experience in building and measuring lead (and/or account) funnel metrics and marketing attribution reporting
  • Fluent in CRM (Hubspot), Marketing Automation Platform (Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot, etc.), and experienced scaling modern MarTech stack
  • 5-7+ years of experience developing and implementing demand generation strategies that leverage modern MarTech stack
