We are recruiting for a Visual Designer for the Home Cooking Community who is currently located in either Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Pakistan, China or Bangladesh. This is a remote full-time position.

Cookpad started out in Japan in 1997 and is currently the largest recipe sharing community in the world with around 6 million recipes. There are 100 million people on average in over 70 countries with over 30 different languages using Cookpad every month.

Requirements

Key responsibilities include:

  • Combine hand-drawing and painting with digital media editing/layouting to create complete graphics/illustrations for Cookpad’s online and offline projects based on requirements
  • Output includes web banners, posters, pictures for blog/social media, ebook format and more
  • You will be part of Cookpad’s global team - the focus is on, but not limited to, supporting Asian and African countries

This role will be perfect for you if you have:

  • Qualified English communication capability to correctly understand requirements from community managers in different countries
  • Proven graphic designing experience and portfolio of related works
  • Demonstrable skills to create original graphics/illustrations especially on cooking related topics
  • Solid skills on image editing and layouting
  • Proficient use of graphic software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and etc.
  • Stable working capacity weekly and ability to meet deadlines
  • Video editing skills/experience is a plus

If they are, you will proceed to the first interview. The next step is a trial project to understand about Cookpad and each other’s working styles. The final interview is with Cookpad Asia Manager.
